energy bites

Ingredients

- 1 cup rolled oats

- 1/2 cup peanut butter (or any nut butter)

- 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup

- 1/2 cup ground flaxseed

- 1/2 cup chocolate chips

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/2 cup dried fruit

- 1/4 cup chia seeds

Instructions

1. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the oats, peanut butter, honey, ground flaxseed, chocolate chips, vanilla extract, dried fruit, and chia seeds. Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

2. Chill: Place the mixture in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. This will make it easier to shape the bites.

3. Form Bites: Once the mixture is chilled, use a spoon or your hands to form small, bite-sized balls. Press firmly to ensure they hold together.

4. Store: Place the energy bites in an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator for up to one week or in the freezer for longer storage.

Tips:

- Feel free to customize the recipe by adding other ingredients like shredded coconut, nuts, or seeds.

- If the mixture is too dry, add a bit more nut butter or honey. If it's too wet, add more oats or flaxseed.

These energy bites are not only convenient, but also nutrient-dense, providing a balanced mix of carbohydrates, protein, healthy fats and fiber.
